What are the recent patterns and trends in cancer incidence and mortality in India?In this cross-sectional National Cancer Registry Programme study, highlighting regional disparities in cancer rates across India, the lifetime risk of developing cancer in India was 11.0%, while Mizoram in the Northeastern region reported lifetime risks of 21.1% in males and 18.9% in females.These findings underscore a need to strengthen the ongoing efforts for cancer prevention and control measures to reduce the burden of cancer in India.
