Diminishing Returns of Novel Autoantibody Discovery in Encephalitis

This Viewpoint describes a plateau in the discovery of clinically meaningful autoantibodies in autoimmune encephalitis (AE) and suggests efforts that are likely to offer greater benefits to patients living with AE.
