Are comedications at pembrolizumab start associated with worse overall survival (OS) in patients with advanced non–small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC)?In this cohort study of 41 529 patients with NSCLC, after adjustment for several confounders, exposure to antibiotics (with the exception of macrolide and penicillin), to high doses of steroids (>20 mg per day of equivalent prednisone), and to proton pump inhibitors at the beginning of pembrolizumab treatment were associated with worse OS.These findings suggest that comedications should be monitored carefully in patients with immunotherapy.
